After years of fiddling about like some photoshop purist and denying the very existence of plug-ins, Topaz software has enlightened me. It really can do a huge number of things you want to do yourself, and it can do it better and faster. James Howe Photography : "I've been using Topaz Adjust/Simplify/Denoise for a few months now and I find that I use either Adjust or Simplify on most of them. I typically use Adjust to add just a bit of extra 'crispness' to an image and I use Simplify to add a painted look. My approach with Simplify is to use it only on parts of the image. I'll often use it as a way of drawing focus to my main subject. Instead of a vignette or shallow DOF, I'll let Simplify de-emphasize certain element, while at the same time making them more interesting.
